Sensei Paden Wolfe

Enshin Karate Southeast Denver’s chief instructor is Sensei Paden Wolfe. Sensei Paden is an internationally certified fourth degree black belt authorized to teach Enshin Karate and the Sabaki Method of self-defense. He has been studying martial arts for over 15 years, and has been a student of Enshin’s creator Kancho Joko Ninomiya, since the founding of the style.

As a competitor, Sensei Paden has competed in many bare knuckles national and international Karate tournaments. He is a three-time world champion in the Sabaki Challenge, winning the middleweight division in both 1995 and 1998, and the lightweight division in 1994. In addition, Sensei Paden won the lightweight division Spirit award in 1993 and was a heavyweight contender in 1996. Sensei Paden is the only competitor in the tournament’s history to have successfully competed in all three weight divisions. Sensei Paden is proud to note that he fought an ex-NFL Philadelphia Eagles player who outweighed him by a stunning 75 lbs in the heavyweight competition.

Sensei Paden is also a licensed physical therapist, and owns and operates Mile High Physical Therapy, an outpatient, orthopedic physical therapy clinic specializing in the treatment of back and neck disorders, as well as pre- and post-operative rehabilitation. He earned his master's degree in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, and will attain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, the highest level attainable in his field, in December 2003.

There are so many martial arts classes out there, and many of them offer a one night type of learning. Enshin Karate is focused on teaching you techniques that are not only useful in fighting in the dojo, but also on the streets, for self defense. As with any discipline, you will only get out of it what you put into it. And that means taking the time to train and practice the techniques. We offer a highly competitive and motivating environment for that training.  —  Sensei Paden Wolfe.
